ViSpa Padding: Benefits

• ViSpa pad employs a coated vinyl loop construction called "vinyl spaghetti"
• Absorbs sound and vibration.
• Resistant to fungus, mildew, acids, and organic solvents
• Withstands bleach and other chemical bases such as sodium hydroxide and ammonia
• Since it is water resistant, it dries quickly.
• Easily disinfected if contact is made with blood or other hazardous material.

ViSpa Pads are easy to clean by shaking, vacuuming, washing or spraying with a hose.

The ViSpa material has great memory, meaning that even after instruments have been on the pads for a long period of time, once removed, ViSpa will return to its original thickness. This property makes ViSpa more effective in controlling noise and vibration.

The pads are also reversible for use under very dirty industrial items such as bench top grinders.

Martinson-Nicholls has developed two thicknesses for ViSpa. The 1/2" thickness is suitable for most applications, but a 1" thick version is offered for the most difficult problems.

Standard sizes are 12" X 12", 15" X 15" and 18" X 18" with custom sizing available. ViSpa is black in color and will last for years.

Case History: ViSpa padding reduces noise & vibration at Cleveland Clinic

Another laboratory use for Martinson-Nicholls actually developed when Ruminski was installing the Nomad matting at the Cleveland Clinic. After spending the day on his hands and knees helping with the installation, Ruminski was asked if he had some sort of matting to put under a centrifuge.

"I came up with a small piece of ViSpa padding, tucked it under there, and they loved it," he said. "We'd already tested the materail for noise and vibrations, and it cut down on both. We found a market, and now sell it in squares. It's used under centrifuges to isolate vibrations and keeps from upsetting readings. Talk about easy, this was just a fluke!"

VisSpa Pads are in three standard sizes, and two thicknesses for areas with varying noise-reduction needs.
