Canadian designed, HOTflake™’s anti-slip, inter-connectible heating mats are manufactured in 100 percent virgin, moulded SBR rubber. The patented, waterproof heated wiring embedded within the mats melt snow and ice ON CONTACT, thereby protecting you from slips and fall accidents. (GFCI Power Cord not included.)

- These mats can connect up to 10 (120V) or 20 (240V) rubber stair treads, up to 5 (120V) or 10 (240V) rubber doormats and landing mats AND up to 4 (120V) or 8 (240V) rubber walkway and driveway mats. In any combination, connections should not exceed 15 amps per GFCI.

Initially, I was skeptical about the effectiveness of the Hotflake Walkway and Driveway Mat for keeping walkways and driveways clear of snow and ice during the winter months. However, after using it for a season, I am pleasantly surprised with its performance. The mat is easy to install and provides efficient heating to melt snow and ice on contact. The built-in thermostat allows you to set the temperature to your desired level, and the mat’s low energy consumption makes it an eco-friendly option. The durable construction and weather-resistant materials have also held up well, even in heavy use and harsh weather conditions.
One thing I would recommend is to have realistic expectations, it may not melt all the snow and ice instantly especially in heavy snowfall or extremely low temperatures. But it definitely makes a difference in keeping the area safer and more manageable.
Overall, I would recommend the Hotflake Walkway and Driveway Mat to anyone looking for a solution to keep their walkways and driveways clear of snow and ice during the winter. Though I was initially skeptical, it has proven to be a worthwhile investment.
